The Wa Municipal Assembly under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Honorable Alhaji Issah Nura Danwaana, organized the 3rd edition of the Mayor’s monthly clean-up exercise dubbed “Operation clean your frontage”. Staff of the Wa Municipal Assembly in collaboration with Hon. Assembly Members, Zoom-lion Ghana limited, Government institutions and agencies and support from communities, individuals and organizations made this clean-up exercise successful in the Wa Municipality on 6th September 2025.
MCE in his address highlighted on the theme for the exercise “Operation Clean your Frontage” and said it is a reflection of our readiness as a Municipality to sustaining the viable initiative” National Sanitation Day” being inaugurated by his Excellency, the president of the republic of Ghana. He restated that the exercise has come to stay and would be observed first Saturday of every month and panel of judges would evaluate the cleanest electoral area , and the cleanest electoral area would be awarded a prize and there would be naming and shaming as being observed in the previous exercises. A clean environment is essential for healthy living, and through this exercise, we reaffirm our commitment to making our communities cleaner, healthier and more habitable.
In his conclusion remarks, he extended his heartfelt gratitude to all participants for the turn-up for the clean-up exercise and applaud them for their dedication and spirit of patriotism for the progress of wa Municipality and Ghana at large.
