As population increases, plastic waste has become an increasingly the most generated waste in the Municipality. This is making the environment filthy.
With a collective interest to promoting a cleaner Municipality, the Wa Municipal Assembly led by the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) , Alhaji Issahaku Tahiru Moomin and the Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Pognaa Fati Issaka Koray in collaboration with the 10 Mechanise Battalions and zoom lion Ghana Limited and others of the municipal management team, staff, Chiefs and community leaders, students and Youth groups participated in the clean-up exercise in the Wa Municipality.
The Hon. MCE, in his address indicated that the objective of the clean-up is to address the issue of littering and waste accumulation in our surrounding. We believe that through collaboration and solidarity, we can create a positive impact on our environment., enhance public health and safety. He therefore advised participants to make it a habit of cleaning their surroundings on daily basis and not only wait for a clean-up exercise to be organized before they do so. He encouraged participants to always avail themselves any time they are being called upon for such clean-up exercise so as together, we can make the Municipality clean and healthy.
